We've added new ways to log in to the Ailo Platform. From Saturday 18 July 2026, you can log in with your Google or Microsoft work account, or with a one-time code sent to your email — alongside the email and password login you use today.
Where to log in
You can use Ailo on the web or in the mobile app.
Web: go to ailo.pm in your browser.
Mobile app: download the Ailo app for your phone or tablet — App Store / Google Play.
You can log in with any of the methods below on both. Note that multi-factor authentication (MFA) is only required when you log in on the web — you won't be asked for a multi-factor authentication code in the mobile app.
What you'll need
- The email address you use to log in to Ailo.
- To log in with Google or Microsoft: a work Google or Microsoft account that uses the same email address as your Ailo account. If the emails don't match, use the email code option instead.
- An authenticator app (see Multi-factor authentication below).
Your new ways to log in
- Continue with Google — log in with a Google, Gmail or Google Workspace account.
- Continue with Microsoft — log in with a Microsoft, Outlook or Office 365 account.
- Continue with email code — we send a one-time code to your email address.
You can also continue to use the email and password login until the end of August:
- Continue with password — your current email and password (this login method will be retired on Saturday 29 August 2026).
Whichever option you use, if you are using the Ailo web app, you'll finish logging in by entering a code from your authenticator app (see Multi-factor authentication below).
Continue with Google
Use this method to log in if you have a Google, Gmail or Google Workspace account and the email address is the same as your Ailo account email.
- Go to ailo.pm (or open the Ailo app) and select Continue with Google.
- Choose the work Google account that matches your Ailo email address.
- The first time you do this, you may be asked to allow ailo.io to access your account. In the Sign in to ailo.io screen, select Continue.
- Enter the code from your authenticator app to finish logging in (or see Multi-factor authentication below to set up MFA for the first time).
ℹ️ Good to know
- Use your work Google account, not a personal one, and make sure its email matches your Ailo email.
- The first time works like connecting a Google mailbox to Ailo. After that, if you're already signed in to Google on your device, you'll usually clear the Google step with one tap.
- If you are on a mobile device you are not required to set up MFA.
Continue with Microsoft
Use this method to log in if you have a Microsoft, Outlook or Office 365 account and the email address is the same as your Ailo account email.
- Go to ailo.pm (or open the Ailo app) and select Continue with Microsoft.
- Sign in with the work Microsoft account that matches your Ailo email address.
- The first time, you may be asked to allow ailo.io to access your account. Select Yes to continue.
- Enter the code from your authenticator app to finish logging in (or see Multi-factor authentication below to set up MFA).
ℹ️ Good to know
- Use your work Microsoft account, and make sure its email matches your Ailo email.
- On later logins, if you're already signed in to Microsoft on your device, you'll usually clear the Microsoft step in one tap.
- If you previously connected your Outlook mailbox to Ailo, Ailo may already be authorised and you may not see the allow access screen.
- If you are on a mobile device you are not required to set up MFA.
Continue with email code
Use this method to log in if you don't have a Google or Microsoft account.
- Go to ailo.pm (or open the Ailo app) and select Continue with Email.
- Enter your Ailo email address and select Send Code.
- We'll email you a one-time code. Open your inbox and copy the code.
- Go back to your browser or mobile app, enter the code and select Continue.
- Enter the code from your authenticator app to finish signing in (or see Multi-factor authentication below to set up MFA for the first time).
ℹ️ Good to know
- The emailed code stays valid for 20 minutes.
- If you are on a mobile device you are not required to set up MFA.
Continue with password
This is a legacy login option. It's available until Saturday 29 August 2026, after which you'll need to use Google, Microsoft or an email code.
- Go to ailo.pm (or open the Ailo app) and select Continue with password.
- Enter your Ailo email address and password, then select Continue.
- Enter the code from your authenticator app to finish signing in (or see Multi-factor authentication below to set up MFA for the first time).
Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
MFA adds a second step to logging in, so that your login method alone isn't enough to get into your account. Given the control property managers have over money movement, it's an important protection for you and your customers, and it's now standard across most property management systems.
Everyone logging in to Ailo on the web needs MFA set up, whichever login method you use. Once it's set up, you enter a six-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone each time you log in.
You can read more about MFA in the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) guidelines.
Choose an authenticator app
An authenticator app generates a random six-digit code on your phone, which you enter on the Ailo login screen. This is more secure than SMS codes, which can be intercepted. You can use any of these:
- Google Authenticator (recommended) — Google Play / Apple App Store
- Microsoft Authenticator — Google Play / Apple App Store
- Authy — Google Play / Apple App Store
How to set up MFA
- Download one of the authenticator apps above to your phone.
- When you're prompted to set up MFA at login you'll see a QR code.
- Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code.
- Enter the six-digit code the app generates, then select Continue.
That's it — your authenticator app is now linked to your Ailo account and you should be logged in.
Using MFA once it's set up
Each time you log in, there's an extra step after you've logged in with your chosen method:
- Log in with Google, Microsoft, an email code or your password.
- When you are prompted to, open your authenticator app to get your one-time code, enter it, and select Continue to log in.
MFA FAQs
Will I need MFA to access the Ailo mobile apps?
Not yet. MFA is only required on ailo.pm. We may introduce security changes to the apps in future.
Will renters and investors need to set up MFA?
No, this applies to agency users only. We may review consumer security in future.
I've lost access to my authenticator app — what do I do?
Contact support@ailo.io and we'll help you reset your MFA.
Troubleshooting
I don't see the Google or Microsoft options
The new options go live on 18 July 2026. If it's before then, you'll only see email and password login.
I see an "Invalid email" error when I try to log in
The email address you used to log in is not associated with an Ailo account. If you were logging in with Google or Microsoft, the account email has to be the same as your Ailo email. If they're different, use Continue with email code instead.
I didn't get my email code
Check your spam or junk folder, and make sure you entered the right email address. You can request the code again — we'll resend the same one. The subject line shows the time it was sent so you can find the latest.
We use a shared device in the office
Sign the device in to a Google or Microsoft account, or use Continue with email code with the email address registered to that Ailo account.
